How can I tell?
- By being a passenger sitting on the left side of the car on the way home from the airport.
- By the fresh roses and nice card I was welcomed with as I entered my new apartment early this morning.
- By my African style furniture already being placed in my living room.
- By the blue sky and nice warm 26 degrees celcius weather.
- By the breakfast and sweet mangoes served outside in the morning sun and in the shade of a "kibanda." And later also dinner and pineapple served out in the sun.
- By the "it`s-easy-to-see-that-you-come-from-Norway"-comment given by one of the young girls I got to know today. I think she was referring to my milky white skin, so I`ll probably have to do something about that in the near future... Should not be a big problem...
- By the monkeys playing on my roof and eating bananas directly from the banana palm behind the house.
- By the fact that termites have had a feast in my stored luggage. They seem to like cardboard and newspapers particularly well.
- By the birds` pretty singing and the sound of drums from the slum area nearby earlier today, and by the evening sounds that cannot be described but have to be experienced.

Velkommen hjem, Astrid!
